We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics hub in Jacksonville, Florida. This vital role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts and your commitment to safety will be critical to our operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring correct product identification.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including those related to Lifting and maneuvering in congested areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and put-away.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Complete daily logs and documentation related to forklift operations and material movement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operation best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 50 pounds) when not operating equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
- Reliable and punctual.
