We are seeking a diligent and energetic Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products in a timely and correct manner. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, navigating through aisles using a pick sheet or scanner to locate and retrieve items. A strong attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain inventory accuracy. Your commitment to safety and operational efficiency will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or scanner instructions.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and updating orders.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE usage.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic reading and math skills for order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
