Job Summary:
Join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming goods. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, inspecting items for quality and quantity, documenting all receipts, and ensuring materials are properly staged for warehouse distribution. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of our supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. We are looking for someone who can work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments accurately.
  • Verify received goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Document all incoming inventory in the warehouse management system.
  • Stage received materials for put-away or further processing.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe work environment.
