Join our thriving distribution center in Chicago, Illinois, as an Order Picker! We are seeking dedicated individuals to efficiently and accurately pick products for customer orders. Your role will be vital to our logistics network, ensuring that items are selected correctly and prepared for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires speed, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize RF scanners and pick lists to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in order picking or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for an entire shift.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks, up to 30 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
