Citco IT are currently looking to fill a software developer position to assist with development and maintenance of strategic financial systems. The individual in this position will participate in the development and support of multiple client-facing and internal business systems. This position reports to the local Team IT Manager. Citco IT is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications. The candidate will interact closely with multiple IT teams and business analysts, as well as QA teams and other technical groups and resources within Citco.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain desktop applications using Progress OpenEdge
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern Javascript frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js)
- Design, develop, test and deliver solutions as per business requirements
- Provide support for existing internal systems
- Contribute to Citco initiatives around automation and digital transformation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of IT experience in design and development of enterprise applications, databases and web applications
- Experience with JavaScript/React development
- Programming experience in Progress OpenEdge
- GUI and Webspeed interfaces
- Classic or PAS Appserve
- Knowledge of source control procedures and systems (Git)
- Adheres to coding standards and consistency
- Proficient in debugging in fast-paced environments
- Identifies, proposes and implements process improvements
- Self-initiates and leads projects (e.g., upgrades, deployments)
- Familiar with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN)
- Understands technical and functional requirements documentation
- Excellent in documentation, communication, and problem-solving
- Versatile in application support, development, and maintenance
- Thrives in demanding environments with a positive attitude
- OE Database Admin Skills (Probkup, prorest, after-imaging, proutil etc)
Highly Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, queues
- Familiarity with build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Octopus or similar)
- Experience with Python, AWS, and AI solutions
- OE Database Admin Skills (Probkup, prorest, after-imaging, proutil etc)
- OE Replication plus
- OE Management (Fathom)
- Transparent Data Encryption
- Database performance tuning
