About the Role
We are seeking a Shipping & Inventory Coordinator to support warehouse and distribution operations for the Government of Alberta – Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction division. The successful candidate will assist with shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and warehouse organization while ensuring accurate handling of materials and adherence to safety standards.
This role requires a physically active individual with strong attention to detail who can safely operate warehouse equipment and manage inventory processes in a secure and high-volume distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Accurately pick, pack, and ship orders within established service-level timelines
• Assist with the transfer and organization of warehouse inventory and materials
• Safely operate reach trucks and other warehouse material handling equipment
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verification of incoming inventory
• Track and record shipment details in internal systems and shipping databases
• Maintain and update shipping records including waybill numbers, shipment details, and tracking information
• Support bulk shipment coordination and distribution activities
• Perform cyclic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies within inventory systems
• Organize and maintain warehouse stock and storage areas
• Provide support for client inquiries via phone, email, or in person
• Participate in warehouse safety inspections and occupational health and safety initiatives
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 year of experience operating a Reach Truck (counterbalance forklift experience alone is not sufficient)
• 2+ years of experience in shipping and inventory control within a warehouse environment
• Experience performing inventory counts and reconciliation using computerized inventory systems
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools and basic database systems
• Experience working with shipping platforms or courier systems (e.g., Loomis, Purolator)
• Experience safely operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, or strapping tools
• Experience handling controlled or serialized inventory items
• Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Must wear CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots while working in the warehouse

• Full onsite role in Edmonton, Alberta
• Standard working hours: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Alberta Time
• Resource must provide CSA-approved safety boots
• Work must be performed within Alberta
Security & Compliance
• Level 1 Criminal Record Check required through Edmonton Police Service or RCMP
• Mandatory completion of Protection of Privacy, Information Management, Cybersecurity, Respect in the Workplace, and OHS training
