What you can expect
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded program manager to lead an international SAP S/4HANA rollout in a global pharmaceutical organization. This critical leadership role is accountable for ensuring successful delivery across a complex portfolio of interdependent projects that support the company's digital transformation journey and global harmonization objectives.
Strategic Program Leadership
- Serve as the senior program lead for the SAP S/4HANA global rollout, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic priorities, including compliance and operational excellence.
- Oversee the coordination and resources of the various IT projects such as MES, LIMS, Infrastructure and so on.
- Act as the key interface between executive leadership, IT, and global business functions, ensuring transparency, strategic alignment, and timely decision-making.
- Shape and drive the overall transformation roadmap with a focus on standardization and scalability across international sites.
- Report program status, risk management, and strategic insights to senior executives.
Pharmaceutical Sector Focus
- Ensure all projects under the program meet the regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, including GxP compliance, CSV (Computer System Validation), and data integrity standards.
- Guide and support teams in delivering validated IT and OT solutions that comply with international health authorities' expectations.
Program & Project Management Excellence
- Lead a team of project managers, ensuring standardized methodologies and tools are applied consistently across the program.
- Develop and continuously improve program and project management capabilities, focusing on risk management, resource optimization, and quality delivery.
- Oversee budget control and manage financial performance of the program.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Establish strong relationships with third-party vendors and system integrators to ensure delivery quality, scalability, and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with site and corporate leadership to address change management, communication, and business adoption challenges.
- University degree in Economics, Information Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- Over 10 years of senior-level experience managing complex, international programs, ideally within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proven success leading SAP and MES implementations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GxP, CSV, and regulatory standards relevant to pharmaceutical IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders across global organizations.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are an asset.
Preferred Skills
- Strong track record in managing validated system deployments in GxP-regulated environments.
- Experience in working in a matrix organization, balancing corporate and local priorities.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) preferred.
