Role Overview


As a Foam Production Associate, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling foam products in accordance with technical drawings and customer specifications. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every product meets SmartShield’s quality standards while maintaining an organized and safe production environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble foam products in accordance with technical drawings.
  • Perform ongoing quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
  • Complete Daily/Monthly equipment and workspace inspections.
  • Inform management when supplies or materials are running low.
  • Support the training of new employees on fabrication techniques and department processes.
  • Conduct ongoing quality control checks on products being built to ensure specifications are met.
  • Provide written updates of daily work output.
  • Follow established product traceability procedures.
  • Package finished products into boxes and onto shipping pallets.
  • Organize and store incoming shipments designated for Foam Production department.
  • Provide suggestions on improvements that could enhance production efficiency and quality.


The Skills You Bring


You’ll do well in this role if you bring:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabricating, and/or industrial environment, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings, or an aptitude to learn.
  • Comfort in handling large or bulky materials.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks throughout the day.
  • A commitment to continuous process improvements.
  • A customer and quality focused mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
