About

Senior Mechatronics Engineer (Robotics & System Integration)

Overview

LuxeTech is representing a leader in custom automation and robotics to identify a Senior Mechatronics Engineer. This role is responsible for the full-lifecycle development of complex automated systems, serving as the technical bridge between mechanical design, electrical control, and software logic. We are seeking a systems-thinker who understands how a millimeter of mechanical tolerance impacts a microsecond of software latency.

The Technical Core

  • Mechanical Design: Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor) for the design of end-of-arm tooling, precision actuators, and high-speed pick-and-place systems.

  • Electrical & Control Systems: Deep experience in electrical schematic design (EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical), sensor integration, and servo-drive optimization.

  • Software & Logic: Advanced PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff) with a focus on Structured Text. Experience with HMI/SCADA development and Industrial IoT connectivity protocols (MQTT/OPC-UA).

Key Responsibilities

  • System Architecture: Lead the conceptual and detailed design of automated cells, ensuring mechanical hardware and electrical controls are perfectly synchronized.

  • Robotic Integration: Program and commission multi-axis robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, or KUKA), optimizing path planning for maximum throughput.

  • Prototyping & Validation: Oversee the build and \"dry-run\" phases on the shop floor, troubleshooting complex interdisciplinary issues that traditional mechanical or electrical engineers might miss.

  • Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive BOMs, technical manuals, and compliance documentation (CSA/UL/CE) to ensure seamless delivery to the end client.

Professional Qualifications

  • Education: B.A.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in custom automation or high-scale manufacturing environments.

  • Compliance Awareness: A firm understanding of safety standards (ISO 13849/ISO 10218) and the ability to design for \"Safety-First\" environments.
