About

We are looking for a Direct Procurement Service Manager to lead our strategic and operational purchasing activities related to critical parts for our manufacturing operations within our BRP Technology group, Global Sourcing Vehicle organization. This role focuses on the performance of direct purchases, category management, cost reduction, supplier performance, and supply chain reliability, in close collaboration with engineering, logistics, operations, and finance.

You will be responsible for supervising a team composed of Category Leaders and Direct Buyers, and you will play a key role in developing robust and sustainable procurement strategies. You will have the opportunity to broaden your skills in a complex and fast‑paced product development environment while playing a determining role in overseeing the required procurement activities and managing your supplier relationships through business reviews and commercial negotiations.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Define and deploy purchasing strategies for direct spend categories (materials, components, and sub‑assemblies).

  • Ensure continuous analysis of markets, risks, suppliers, and trends to guide strategies.

  • Develop, track, and deliver an annual and multi‑year (3‑year) cost‑saving plan.

  • Implement optimization levers: global sourcing, volume consolidation, cost modeling, standardization, supplier competitions, etc.

  • Oversee key negotiations and strategic relationships with major suppliers.

  • Support the handling and resolution of critical procurement issues (capacity, risks, geopolitical constraints, etc.).

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Category Leaders and Direct Buyers.

  • Support internal talent growth (coaching, training, recruitment).

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in direct procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, powersport, industrial, or similar).

  • Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.

  • Strong command of procurement processes, category management, and market analysis, demonstrated ability to influence, manage, and develop teams.

  • Strong analytical skills (TCO, cost modelling, benchmarks).

  • Ability to communicate with international suppliers on a daily basis (Bilingual French/English required. Spanish is an asset.)

  • Availability for occasional travel.

Do you have other qualifications? Tell us what is unique about you that would be a great addition to the team.
