We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Jacksonville, Florida location! This position is critical to ensuring the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. Your accuracy and diligence are essential for maintaining precise inventory records and supporting our overall logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming merchandise from delivery trucks.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damage or defects and report findings.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming products for proper storage.
- Stage received goods for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse receiving role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to Safety practices and procedures.
