About
We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in San Antonio, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper handling. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving shipments, verifying quantities and contents against invoices and purchase orders, and inspecting items for any damage. You will also be responsible for accurately logging received goods into our inventory system and stocking them in their designated locations. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area is paramount, and adherence to all company safety policies and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires physical capability, including regular lifting and the ability to stand for long periods. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify accuracy of received goods against documentation (invoices, POs).
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory control tasks.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Understanding of safety procedures and logistics processes.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including standing and lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
