Become a valued member of our warehouse team in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our logistics success, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and efficiently prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse to retrieve specified items using a handheld scanner or pick list, verifying product information and quantities. Following retrieval, you will carefully package the items, ensuring they are protected during transit and meet our quality standards. A primary focus of this position is adherence to strict safety regulations, including the proper use of all required PPE . The job requires active participation, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, and regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick lists for order fulfillment.
- Verify product details and quantities against order requirements.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Meet established picking and packing performance metrics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Report any inventory errors or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Support the efficiency of our logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or fulfillment role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Willingness to strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
