About
We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping orders. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring accuracy in all processes. Your contribution is vital to our logistics network, supporting timely deliveries. The position requires physical stamina and the capacity for frequent lifting . Compliance with all PPE requirements is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items for orders based on picking lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics department.
- Perform other duties as required, which may include lifting and moving heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift, and bend, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Dedicated to maintaining a safety -conscious workplace.
- Must be able to wear and properly use all required PPE .
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts is a plus.
