Become a vital part of our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse operations as a Picker/Packer! We're looking for motivated individuals to accurately retrieve and prepare orders for shipment. In this role, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, verifying order accuracy, and then securely packaging them for safe transit. This position is fundamental to our logistics success, directly impacting our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality. We place a strong emphasis on workplace Safety , and adherence to all safety protocols and the use of PPE is mandatory. You will collaborate with a team to meet daily fulfillment goals. Performance is evaluated based on accuracy, speed, and adherence to packaging standards. We provide thorough training and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Double-check picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and efficiently pack items for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels correctly and ensure packages are ready for dispatch.
- Use hand trucks or pallet jacks for moving stock as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area and contribute to the overall warehouse tidiness.
- Comply with all Safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Wear and correctly utilize all mandated PPE .
- Achieve established performance metrics for picking, packing, accuracy, and speed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties to support the overall logistics flow.
This role involves extensive standing, walking, bending, and requires regular lifting of packages, some of which may weigh up to 50 pounds. A firm commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment is expected from all team members.
