About
Join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a Material Handler! We need dedicated individuals to support the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that goods are handled safely and efficiently from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory. You’ll play a crucial part in maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring the timely processing of orders. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and other manual equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Must wear appropriate PPE.
