We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Seattle, Washington facility. This critical role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, playing a vital part in our overall logistics and supply chain management. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, manage inventory records, and implement procedures to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize losses. A thorough understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse systems are essential. You must be meticulous, analytical, and committed to upholding high standards of accuracy. Safety is a paramount concern, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. While this role is less physically demanding than some warehouse positions, some lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy.
- Identify and tag damaged or expired goods.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret inventory data and generate reports.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
