This crucial role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, ensuring productivity, and upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures are followed, with a strong emphasis on PPE usage and safe Lifting practices.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Oversee the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments to meet logistics demands.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Experience with various types of material handling equipment and a thorough understanding of safe operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks when necessary.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, including diligent use of PPE.
