About
Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is seeking diligent Picker/Packers to join our team! You will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment, playing a crucial role in our logistics operations. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will navigate the warehouse, locate specific products, and prepare them for dispatch, ensuring that orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. Comprehensive training on our systems, equipment, and safety procedures will be provided. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to meet daily picking and packing targets. The role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory to maintain a safe working environment. Your accuracy and speed directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Familiarity with RF scanners is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for quality and damage.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials to protect products.
- Operate packing equipment such as tape machines and label printers.
- Verify order details before shipment to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all PPE requirements and safety guidelines.
- Meet established picking and packing productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Must be able to perform repetitive lifting and packing tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
