- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Document and report any discrepancies or damages found.
- Enter received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and promptly.
- Tag and label received items for proper storage and tracking.
- Stage goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- May involve some moderate Lifting of packages.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift items up to 40 lbs.
