We are seeking a diligent Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced warehouse operations in the heart of New York City, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled with precision and speed. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack products carefully and securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order lists or digital systems.
- Operate scanning devices to track inventory movement and order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and **Safety**.
- Adhere strictly to all company **Safety** policies and wear all mandated **PPE**, including safety vests, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing quotas.
- Support the broader **Logistics** team in ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is highly valued.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for prolonged periods, bending, and **Lifting** up to 45 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **Safety** practices and the importance of **PPE**.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with **Logistics** and warehouse order fulfillment processes is beneficial.
