We are hiring an Order Picker for our bustling warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled with speed and accuracy. This role involves locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices, preparing them for shipment, and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order tickets or use RF scanners to locate and pick correct items.
- Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Package items carefully and accurately for shipment.
- Transport picked orders to designated staging or packing areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to order picking and logistics.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Physical capability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
