We are looking for an Order Picker to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are critical to maintaining our high standards of service. You will work within our dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing scanning equipment and following pick lists to locate products. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace is paramount, and all team members are required to adhere to stringent safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Comprehensive training on order picking procedures, equipment operation, safety guidelines, and safe lifting techniques will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order details and pick lists.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and verify selections.
- Inspect picked items for accuracy and quality.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Report any picking errors or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
