About
Our San Francisco, California location is looking for a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials within our warehouse. You will also assist with general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with merchandise.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated racking systems and storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of all required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and Safe warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and practices related to forklift operation.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe workplace and consistent use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
