Join our expanding logistics team in Chicago, Illinois, as an Order Picker! We are seeking efficient and accurate individuals to fulfill customer orders by selecting items from our warehouse stock. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that products are picked correctly and prepared for shipment, contributing to customer satisfaction. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where precision and speed are key.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities against orders.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for staging.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Perform other warehouse duties to support the overall logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an order picking role or similar warehouse position is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be capable of performing lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory flow.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills.
