They are now seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead their South Dublin branch, a busy and high-potential location with clear opportunities for commercial growth.


The Opportunity

This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role where you will take full ownership of branch performance. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the future of the branch while being fully supported by central specialist teams across Purchasing, Stock Management, HR, IT, Finance, and Facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and commercial performance, identifying new business opportunities
  • Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day branch operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing branch team
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards
  • Support the team hands‑on when required, including on the trade counter
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Manage stock control, including stocktakes and cycle counts
  • Monitor and control branch costs, identifying efficiencies where possible
  • Ensure excellent branch presentation, merchandising, and housekeeping
  • Champion health & safety, ensuring full compliance at all times
  • Work closely with Credit Control to manage customer accounts and debtor days
  • Support local marketing initiatives to raise the branch profile
  • Ensure branch administration is compliant with company policies
  • Engage with wider branch network meetings to share best practice xcfaprz
  • Build strong links within the local community

About You

  • Proven experience in a commercial and/or operational role within builders’ merchants or a similar sector
  • A strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving results
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Confidence in running a branch with a high degree of autonomy
  • A proactive, solution‑focused approach
  • Good IT and systems literacy
