This role sits within our dynamic front-end development team, helping to deliver the next generation of automated underwriting SaaS solutions. This position is centred on enhancing the experience of our customers, particularly underwriters, by building intuitive, efficient, and effective interfaces that streamline their daily workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain modern, robust, scalable applications using Angular, with a strong focus on usability and performance.


The successful candidate will take part in designing, implementing, and optimising user‑facing features, ensuring they align with best industry practices and meet the evolving needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance front‑end features for the Automated Underwriting SaaS platform.
  • Implement Angular components, modules, and services following best practices.
  • Translate UX designs and prototypes into high‑quality, user‑friendly interfaces.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs effectively.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing performance and usability improvements.
  • Support CI/CD processes and contribute to improving development workflows.

Education

  • BSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Critical Experience

  • Experience delivering features independently within an Agile team environment.

Technical / Professional Skills

  • Solid understanding of web technologies, responsive design, and user experience principles.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with RxJS and state management libraries such as NgRx or Redux.
  • Experience with CSS pre‑processing frameworks such as Sass or Less.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Playwright (Preferred), Serenity Jest, Jasmine/Karma, Protractor, or Cypress.
  • Comfortable working with APIs and integrating backend services.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorisation standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

Desired / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with micro‑frontend architectures and web components.
  • Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with component libraries or tools like Storybook. xcfaprz
  • Experience with business‑critical workflow‑intensive user interfaces.
