What You'll Be Doing

  • Systems Maintenance: Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on complex plant equipment.
  • Inspection & Repair: Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and restore operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the maintenance team to support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain precise records of work performed, system modifications, and parts inventory.

What Are We Looking For

  • Certification: Must possess a valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician certificate.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and medium-voltage safety standards.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Expert ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
  • Schematic Proficiency: Highly skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Safety Excellence: Unwavering commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication skills with the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Cement Industry or heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

  • This role operates primarily in heavy industrial environments.
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

  • Starting at $58.20 per hour, increasing to $59.36 per hour (as per collective agreement)
