Assumes responsibility for research methodologies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring end-user participation in an iterative manner. Follows processes and best practices of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Research, contributing to the communication and establishment of UCD processes across projects. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (Marketing, Service Technology, end-users, domain experts) to analyze user and business needs. Conducts usability tests, card sorts, surveys, focus groups, interviews, task analysis, field and crowd sourcing user research. Designs, plans, implements, and communicates research activities tailored to each project, providing insights to the project teams. Provides input to UI design based on research findings. Works collaboratively with UX team members, Development teams, Product Owners, Users, and stakeholders within an agile development process. Leverages UX research techniques to evaluate product requirements, UI designs, and product modules. Assists in project scheduling by estimating research tasks and providing status reports and project plans. Acts as an internal UX Research consultant, guiding Business and Technical stakeholders on user experience matters. Qualifications
Proficient in planning, recruiting, designing, and moderating research activities. Capable of scoping research projects and selecting appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods. Experience conducting research in an agile software development environment. Education
Bachelor's or higher degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or Information Design. At least 5 years of UX research experience in software or web product development. Additional Qualifications
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Minimum of 3 years of professional User Research experience, with a successful track record in integrating results into design and development. A strong portfolio demonstrating research work and deliverables. Hands-on experience with study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in mobile or device-specific user research. Experience in instructional design. Additional Education
Masters or PhD in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Additional Information
