Senior Engineer

DesignBuild Search is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Engineer to join our client's team based in the London Docklands.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for managing construction works on site to ensure that they are completed safely in line with the program and in accordance with the project drawings, specifications & Building Regulations.

• Manage the day-to-day technical aspects of the site, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and coordination with the design team.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented in line with the project’s BCAR requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, and quantity surveyors to support smooth project delivery.
• Support the Project and Contracts Managers to deliver the works on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Identify and resolve any information gaps in collaboration with the project and design teams.
• Maintain strong working relationships with the wider site team and subcontractors.

• Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of various types of construction and construction techniques.
• Competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
• Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
• Ability to formulate plans and execute in line with budget and timeline.

• Computer literate and familiar with MS Project
