Senior Security Firmware Engineer - Trusted Execution & Virtualisation

We're partnered with a global semiconductor organisation expanding its Cloud and Data Center security team in Cork, Ireland. They are seeking a Senior Security Firmware Engineer, working 5 days onsite.


All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.

This role focuses on secure computing environments for next generation high performance inference accelerators. You will contribute to Trusted Execution Environments on server platforms and enable hardware assisted accelerators as trusted devices in multi tenant deployments.

You will operate at the intersection of firmware, platform security, PCIe and confidential computing.

Key focus areas include:
  • Design and development of security software for AI accelerator cards
  • TDISP based trusted device assignment and lifecycle management
  • SR-IOV secure execution environments and PCIe virtual function isolation
  • Integration of SPDM, CMA, MCTP, IDE and related security protocols
  • Secure boot, attestation and platform level security enforcement
  • Memory and performance optimisation within secure enclaves
  • Low level debugging using JTAG, RAM dumps and secure debug policies
  • Threat modelling and alignment with industry security standards

This role suits engineers with strong C/C++ skills, Linux based embedded development experience, device driver knowledge and a solid grounding in cryptographic primitives and security protocol design. Experience with TrustZone, TPM, open source security or virtualisation projects would be highly beneficial. xcfaprz
