About the Role We're looking for a Senior Field Engineer to lead our engineering services across Ireland.
You’ll play a key role in delivering and maintaining vehicle technology systems, managing field engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and leading high-performing technical teams.
While Dublin is the primary operational hub due to vehicle volumes, regular travel across Ireland, including Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and other regions, will be required.
**Key Responsibilities
*** Lead and manage a small team of field engineers and subcontractors nationwide
* Oversee hardware/software installation and maintenance on public transport vehicles
* Plan and schedule site work, resources, and stock logistics
* Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues
* Manage supplier and subcontractor performance
* Ensure health & safety, compliance, and documentation standards are met
* Report progress and risks to the NTA Operations Manager
* Travel across Ireland regularly, with occasional UK and international travel
**What We’re Looking For
*** Senior-level experience in field engineering, ideally in transport or tech infrastructure
* Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background (automotive experience ideal)
* Skilled in team leadership and field service operations
* Experience working with third-party vendors and subcontractors
* Confident using tools like Jira and Confluence
* Highly organised, with strong communication and reporting skills
* Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering, ITIL, or Lean (desirable)
