PGIM Ireland, part of Prudential Global Asset Management, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Investment Accounting Technology team located in Letterkenny, Ireland with hybrid remote options. You will help build next‑generation investment accounting and securities lending trading systems in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities

In this role you will:



  • Build and optimise data pipelines, logic, and storage systems using modern coding practices, design patterns, and architectural principles while removing technical impediments.
  • Develop high‑quality, well‑documented, and efficient code that adheres to Prudential standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, tech leads, and other team members to understand needs, define feature stories, design solutions, and deliver robust business‑impacting outputs.
  • Write unit, integration, and functional automation tests; investigate and resolve issues identified by quality assurance or product support.
  • Apply deep knowledge of emerging technologies, coach teammates, and embed learning and innovation into day‑to‑day work.
  • Solve complex problems where analysis requires evaluating intangible variables and non‑technical factors.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, including architecture, components, development tools, and native languages Python and T‑SQL.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and how to integrate Microsoft Fabric within cloud solutions.
  • Ability to work with databases and data‑management tools, including SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
  • Experience developing and integrating web services and APIs using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Project management expertise: effectively manage projects, timelines, and resources to meet business objectives.
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Team collaboration experience across departments to align development with business goals.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices to enhance productivity and project management.
