About
As a perishable department coordinator, you’ll work with a team to ensure the best and freshest meats and cheeses are in stock, and available for customers both on the floor and in the service case. If you have a passion for serving customers and working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the position for you!What will I do?Possess an understanding of the products offered in the departmentMaintain the overall appearance of the department, ensure fresh product and levels are sustained, items are well-merchandised in innovative, eye-appealing displays and stocked in correct locations, while recognizing seasonal, holiday and weather effects on salesProactively help customers, delivering efficient and friendly customer service, while providing suggestions for meal solutions, and answering any questions they may have about productsUnderstand how products look/taste at peak of perfection, ensure use core recipes and techniques to provide a consistent and quality outcomeAssist in ordering and inventory processes, utilizing ordering guides to help control inventory and shrinkRequired Qualifications:Customer service experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a deli and/or using a deli slicerAt Wegmans, we’ve always believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
