As part of this large-scale initiative, we are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead quality assurance across complex, multi-stream projects with significant national impact.

Test Manager
Location: Dublin (1–2 days onsite per week)
Rate: €475–€515 per day
Contract: 12-Month Initial Contract
Interview Process: 1–2 stages
As Test Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end test function within the department, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality systems through robust QA governance, process oversight, and team leadership.
You will be responsible for managing test activity across multiple workstreams, driving quality standards, and ensuring defects are effectively controlled, tracked, and resolved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the test lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes
- Ensure the consistent application of appropriate quality management techniques and structured test plans
- Manage and coordinate test team resources, ensuring delivery alignment and consistency
- Schedule and track test activity across projects, proactively managing capacity and risks
- Maintain and govern a structured defect management process and defect register
- Analyse and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities
- Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, anomalies, and quality performance
- Advise on best-practice methodologies, tools, environments, and test data requirements
- Full ownership of the department’s test process and QA governance
- Reduction of development defects through structured quality controls
- Consistent application of test standards, tools, and metrics
- Effective cross-project coordination of test resources and activity
Experience & Requirements
Minimum 7 years’ experience in software testing/QA environments
At least 3 years leading or managing test teams
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale test projects, including:
xcfaprz- Quality assurance process implementation
- Defect management and reporting frameworks
- Resource planning and scheduling
- Test governance across multiple project streams
Strong understanding of structured delivery environments
Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
Experience working within complex, regulated, or public sector environments is highly advantageous
