Your time commitment depends on the number of courses you volunteer for. Each course involves one day per week for seven weeks.


Experience Needed

No prior experience required. Relevant experience in group work, education, mentoring or criminal justice is welcome.


Description

Join us as a facilitator on the Sycamore Tree Restorative Justice Workshop. The Sycamore Tree Project is delivered inside prisons and rehabilitation centres. This six week course explores restorative justice processes and supports participants to reflect on responsibility, harm and change.

  • What is Restorative Justice
  • The Ripple Effect of Crime
  • Forgiveness and Remorse
  • Breaking the Cycle

Duties

  • Support participants in understanding and contributing to learning goals
  • Facilitate small group discussions and encourage engagement
  • Assist with room set up and preparation

Training

Full training is provided.
