Estimating Manager

Join a dynamic and growing structural steel and construction business delivering complex industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. With strong in-house fabrication and erection capabilities, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving the estimating function, ensuring accurate and competitive bids that help secure high-value projects.

• Lead and develop the estimating team, ensuring accurate and timely tender submissions
• Analyse tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for structural steel and construction projects
• Collaborate with design, production, procurement, and commercial teams to optimise bids
• Present and negotiate tenders with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Review and improve estimating systems, processes, and cost databases
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business growth initiatives
• Proven estimating experience within structural steel, heavy fabrication, or construction
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, risk, and resource planning
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Excel xcfaprz skills
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel locally as required
