Senior Software Engineer II

Senior Software Engineer II at HubSpot. The role involves owning new features development, collaborating with user feedback, building backend systems, and leveraging AI. This role can be remote from within Ireland.

CS on Service Hub – Flywheel Group. This team builds the core experience that enables Customer Success and Customer Service reps to operate efficiently within the HubSpot platform.

• End-to-end ownership
• Collaborating closely with CS reps to understand needs and iterate rapidly
• Building backend systems (Java required), while contributing across the stack when needed (React experience preferred)
• Partnering with data scientists to surface insights and build intelligence into workflows
• Embracing a “ship to learn” mindset — using experimentation and feedback to guide development
• Operating in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where engineers are expected to take initiative

• Have strong backend experience and a willingness to work across the stack
