We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Power BI Developer for our well-established client based in Dun Laoghaire.

Responsibilities :

  • Work alongside key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver reports, dashboards, andvisualizations using PowerBI.

  • Enhance and improve existing reports and dashboards.
  • Develop a full understanding of relevant data and the business process that generate it.
  • Working with information gathered from multiple sources, be able to evaluate and documentbusiness requirements, ensuring that the proposed solutions are reconciled with all businessinputs.
  • Using interviews, workshops, documentation reviews, business analysis, and business processevaluations, gather business requirements.
  • Work with the data available to understand, validate and test business requirements.
  • Document, design and build dashboards that are impactful and easily adopted.
  • Establish standards and principles for the design of high-value Dashboards and Visualisations.
  • Provide technical recommendations and direction on the development and implementation ofreports & dashboards in adherence with the standards
  • Utilise data, visualizations and PowerBI dashboard capabilities to deliver effective and compellingenterprise-quality reporting outputs. Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to meetthe needs of stakeholders
  • Communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling way, using visualisation, charts, andother storytelling techniques
  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI solutions
  • Keep up-to-date with new features and updates in Power BI and related technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data visualisation and storytelling techniques and tools

The role will be Dublin-based, in a flexible working environment, with a mix of remote working from home, working from our offices in Dun Laoghaire, and some onsite work at customer sites.

Requirements :

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the delivery of Business Intelligence reporting, dashboards and
    visualisations using PowerBI.
  • Understanding of SQL and data warehousing.
  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise databases technologies including some of the
    following, snowflake, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle.
  • Be an effective communicator, both spoken and written.
  • Demonstrate experience of gathering requirements and converting them into high-impact
    and practical dashboards. xcfaprz
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedule and work
    within agreed timescales.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Exc ellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a specific ability to express ideasclearly and concisely - verbally and in writing with a view to engaging and influencing
