Ergo IT Recruitment is seeking a Network Security Engineer for an immediate contract opportunity in Dublin city centre. As a Network Security Engineer you will be responsible for installation, configuration and management of networking and data communications hybrid infrastructure. The role will also assist in the management of ICT Security technologies with a strong focus on network management, response to security system alerts and suspicious network activity.

This is a hybrid role requiring 5+ years of experience in Network security and relevant certifications (Cisco / Fortinet / Checkpoint).
What will you do?
- Administration support of wired and wireless network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, network access management and other network security elements
- Troubleshoot and analyse network security issues on various technologies
- Review and process network security related support tickets
- Participate in daily monitoring of security system logs and reports for anomalies and problems
- Assist in analysis and remediation of identified network security issues and vulnerabilities
You should have experience in the following:
- LAN, WAN, DMZ, VPN and DNS network technologies and protocols
- Network configuration xcfaprz management solutions and network security solutions
- Security technologies such as CICSO, Fortinet, Checkpoint
- Web and email content filters, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
- Network security monitoring and vulnerability management tools
- Ticketing tools for Incident, Change & Problem Management
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender suite an advantage
