Graduate Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Junior Mechanical Design Engineers to join established manufacturing and heavy engineering organisations across the Midlands region. These positions are ideal for recent graduates or engineers with 1-2 years' experience looking to develop their careers in practical, equipment-focused design roles.

These opportunities are based across the Midlands territory, with roles available in the Offaly and Tipperary regions, and are easily commutable from Kilkenny, Carlow, Offaly, Tipperary, and Limerick.

As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of a range of mechanical equipment and machinery.

Typical duties include:

• 
  
• Assisting with mechanical design using CAD software.
  
• Supporting design of industrial equipment such as conveyors, crushers, screening equipment, agricultural machinery, trailers, fabrication structures, plant equipment, and mechanical assemblies.
  
• Producing drawings, layouts, and BOMs for manufacturing.
  
• Working closely with manufacturing and production teams.
  
• Supporting project engineers with design changes and product improvements.
  
• Assisting with technical documentation and design reviews.
  

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

• 
  
• Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  
• Are recent graduates or have 1-2 years' industry experience.
  
• Have experience with CAD packages such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
  
• Have an interest in heavy machinery, fabrication, industrial or agricultural equipment.
  
• Are eager to learn and develop within a hands‑on engineering environment.
  
• Are based in or commutable to the Midlands region.
