Due to an internal promotion, OFS are now recruiting a Financial Controller, who will report directly to our Group CFO and manage an experienced team of 6 within our finance department.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function and the production of accurate, timely monthly consolidated management accounts for the Group together with financial analysis and review of all OFS entity accounts on an ongoing, monthly and annual basis. The focus of the Financial Controller will be to provide efficient and effective management of the finance operation in relation to the co-ordination, recording and reporting of all financial activities and consolidation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and delivering the monthly consolidated management accounts.
  • Managing the completion of all monthly management accounts supporting group consolidation.
  • Ensuring all individual entities are managed in an efficient and effective manner
  • Reviewing and approving payrolls in various currencies.
  • Managing banks and ongoing cashflow forecasting.
  • Ensuring ongoing balance sheet integrity, including reviews and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring ongoing P&L integrity, including regular individual job performance reviews, ongoing checks of actual revenue and costs versus plan, management of overheads versus budget.
  • Applying and maintaining IFRS-compliant accounting policies.
  • Leading statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
  • Overseeing day-to-day finance operations for key all P&L and Balance sheet components feeding into the monthly management accounts
  • Supporting Forecasting and the Annual Budget process
  • Ensuring all entities satisfy and complete statutory, tax and other compliance returns on time.
  • Managing inter-company transfer pricing agreements, transactions, reconciliations and efficient tax planning strategies
  • Designing and implementing best in practice financial systems and controls, timelines, and governance across the finance function.
  • Working closely with other Departments, including Operations and Business Development
  • Managing, developing and supporting the finance team.
  • Driving continuous improvements across the finance function and numbers.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
  • Proven experience owning month-end close in a multi-entity environment.
  • Proven experience managing a Finance Team
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience
  • Audit-facing experience with responsibility for delivery
  • Confident people manager with a hands-on approach
  • International / multi-currency experience
