My client is a fast growing group. They are currently recruiting for a Divisional Financial Controller.

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organisation. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support the growth and sustainability of the business.


Reports to: CFO


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Prepare, analyse, and present monthly and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Manage a finance team of 2
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the business can meet its operational and growth objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax, audit, and reporting obligations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls and financial policies.
  • Support commercial decisions by providing financial modelling and analysis for new projects, pricing, and investments.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and service teams to optimise financial performance and efficiency.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, including automation and process optimization, roll out of the Group ERP.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a financial management in industry
  • Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of UK/Irish GAAP.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Experience with financial systems and software (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. xcfaprz

This role will be based 5 days on site in either Dublin 24 or D15
