ATG are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of structural systems for major data centre projects in Ireland and across Europe. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in structural engineering design, project leadership, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams within the data centre or mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of data centre projects from concept through to construction.
- Oversee and review structural analysis and calculations using tools such as Tekla, ETABS, Robot, or similar.
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to ensure fully integrated solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Manage and review deliverables including drawings, specifications, reports, and BIM models.
- Attend and lead project and client meetings, providing structural input and updates.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with local and international codes, health and safety standards, and sustainability targets.
- Support tendering, procurement, and construction activities as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred – MIEI/CEng or equivalent).
- Minimum 8+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 3 years specifically on data centre or mission-critical facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant Irish Building Regulations.
- Proven experience with steel and reinforced concrete structures, foundations, and seismic design considerations.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, buildability, and project phasing.
- Proficiency in structural software packages and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Tekla).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland and travel within Europe if required.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary consultancy or Tier 1 contractor.
- Exposure to international data centre clients and fast-track design environments. xcfaprz
