We are hiring for our client, a fast-growing leader in robotics and precision automation, to recruit a Senior Controls Engineer to join their expanding team. With a focus on the design and delivery of highly automated, custom-built machinery and intelligent robotic systems, the company operates across sectors including Med-Tech, Automotive and Food & Beverage.
Due to exceptional growth, the company is opening a new production facility in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Controls Engineer to contribute to ground-breaking projects and push the boundaries of automation innovation.

Lead the design, programming, and implementation of PLC control systems for bespoke machines and robotic systems
Support automation upgrades and commissioning for production and assembly lines
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Analyse customer workflows and production bottlenecks to design intelligent, efficient control architectures
Conduct testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting of both new and legacy systems
Support project delivery from concept through to on-site commissioning and handover
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement processes
Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robot integration
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, control panels, and system safety
Experience designing systems for high-speed manufacturing or precision machinery preferred
Comfortable managing multiple projects and engaging with clients to tailor technical solutions
A practical mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites across Ireland and the UK
