Permanent Role


Calling all mechanically/electrically minded engineers


Excellent opportunity for the position of Field Service Engineer based with a key global client in Kildare.


Do you like to troubleshoot, solve complex problems and enjoy hands‑on tasks and projects? Our client is the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.


If you're successful, you will work as a Field Service Engineer and provide service and maintenance support to customers of our client’s key equipment. This is an onsite based role. Once you are fully trained, you will be working a 4‑cycle shift.


Travel

There will be a travel requirement for this position. You will spend several weeks initially at one of our global training sites before returning to Ireland. Applicants must be able to travel internationally for this training and need to have a Stamp 4 or unrestricted full working rights for Ireland.


Shift role

Ability to work 24/7 shift rota.


Who we are looking for:

  • A technical qualification (minimum Level 7) or above/equivalent industry experience is desirable.
  • Practical hands‑on work exposure (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) through previous experience or project work.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Full Driving License.

Role

  • You will be involved in the on‑site installation, qualification, preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
  • You will gain valuable experience working in a dynamic and diverse environment.
  • Interface with Irish‑based customers to ensure successful outcomes from equipment installations.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
