Job Summary The desktop support intern will provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues, and ensuring IT incidents are resolved in a timely manner. Responsibilities include responding to user requests, troubleshooting, assisting with installations and maintenance, documenting support requests, and collaborating with staff across the IS department.. What you'll do
Provide exposure and experience in the desktop support/engineering roles and the systems used on a daily basis (SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Admin Center) Windows 10 to 11 migration, ATM refreshes, A/V upgrades, workstation refreshes Respond to support requests via email, phone, ticketing system, and walk-up interactions Assist with workstation refreshes and hardware deployments Support miscellaneous projects Contribute IT support for company events Utilize and gain hands-on experience with ITSM ticketing systems to track and manage incidents and requests Work with IT tools such as SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory Monitor and support basic helpdesk metrics, including ticket and call tracking Collaborate with the desktop support team to troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues as needed What you'll bring
Ideal candidates should be pursuing a degree in IT or a related field, Possess basic knowledge of computer systems, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office/365 services.
