Room Leader | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: £27,580 per annum

Are you an experienced Room Leader ready for a new adventure? Join us at Acre Wood Nursery, where your passion for early childhood education can truly shine!

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Room Leader to guide our team in delivering our enriching ethos and curriculum to our wonderful children and their families. Our nursery operates from 7:00 AM to 6:15 PM, and we need someone flexible to work varied shifts within these hours.

As a Room Leader, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
• Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
• Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
• Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
• Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments and identify staff training needs.
• Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
• Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
• Over 1 year of experience in Early Years.
• Over 6 months of experience in a senior position (desirable).
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating (desirable).
• Understanding of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
