About
We are looking for a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our thriving warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibility will be to pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or using a scanning device. This role is essential to our logistics operations, requiring precision and efficiency. You'll be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations in the warehouse based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pack picked items securely and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and stock is properly stored.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order forms.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Reliable and punctual.
