Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our inventory, ensuring efficient stock rotation, and minimizing shrinkage. You will conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, manage inventory records within our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and implement best practices for inventory control. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Your contribution will directly impact the efficiency and profitability of our warehouse operations. We provide a safe work environment and require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS and other relevant systems.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items for replenishment or disposition.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, receiving, and shipping teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior inventory staff.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
